ශ්‍රී ලංකා රජය සහ ඉන්දියානු රජය ඒකාබද්ධව ක්‍රියාත්මක කරන ලද නිවාස ව්‍යාපෘතිය යටතේ, මලෛයගම් ප්‍රජාවගේ දිගුකාලීන නිවාස සිහිනය යථාවත් කරමින් නිවාස 2000ක හිමිකම්පත් ප්‍රදානය කිරීමේ උත්සවය, ශ්‍රී ලංකා ප්‍රජාතාත්ත්‍රික සමාජවාදි ජනරජයේ අතිගරු ජනාධිපති අනුර කුමාර දිසානායක මැතිතුමාගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් 2025.10.12 වන දින බණ්ඩාරවෙල මහා නගර සභා ක්‍රීඩාංගණයේ දී පවත්වන ලදී. එහි දී ජනාධිපතිතුමාගේ සුරතින් ප්‍රතිලාභීන් 2,000 දෙනෙකුට සංකේතාත්මකව හිමිකම් ප්‍රදානය කිරීමක් සිදු විය.
මෙම අවස්ථාවට ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ඉන්දියානු මහ කොමසාරිස් සන්තෝෂ් ජා මහතා, ඌව පළාත් ගරු ආණ්ඩුකාරවර නීතිඥ කපිල ජයසේකර මැතිතුමා, සබරගමුව පළාතේ ගරු ආණ්ඩුකාරවර චම්පා ජනකී රාජරත්න මහත්මිය, වැවිලි හා ප්‍රජා යටිතල පහසුකම් පිළිබඳ ගරු අමාත්‍ය සමන්ත විද්‍යාරත්න මහතා, ධීවර කටයුතු පිළිබඳ ගරු අමාත්‍ය රාමලිංගම් චන්ද්‍රශේකර මහතා, වැවිලි හා ප්‍රජා යටිතල පහසුකම් පිළිබඳ ගරු නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය සුන්දරලිංගම් ප්‍රදීප් මහතා, සංචාරක කටයුතු පිළිබඳ ගරු නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය මහාචාර්ය රුවන් රණසිංහ මහතා, තරුණ කටයුතු පිළිබඳ ගරු නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය දිනිඳු සමන් හෙන්නයක මහතා, බදුල්ල දිස්ත්‍රික් ගරු පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රීවරු, බදුල්ල හා බණ්ඩාරවෙල නගරාධිපතිවරු, ප්‍රාදේශීය සභා ගරු මන්ත්‍රීවරු මෙන්ම ඌව පළාත් සභාව නියෝජනය කරනු ලබන රාජ්‍ය නිලධාරීන් සහ මලෛයගම් ප්‍රජාව ඇතුළු විශාල පිරිසක් සහභාගී වූහ.
The ceremony for granting deeds of ownership for 2,000 houses, fulfilling the long-standing housing dream of the Malaiyagam community under the housing project jointly implemented by the Government of Sri Lanka and the Government of India, was held on 12.10.2025 at the Bandarawela Municipal Council Grounds under the patronage of His Excellency the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Anura Kumara Dissanayake. On that occasion, deeds were symbolically granted to 2,000 beneficiaries from the hands of His Excellency the President.
The Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Mr. Santosh Jha, the Honorable Governor of Uva Province, Attorney-at-Law Kapila Jayasekara, the Honorable Governor of Sabaragamuwa Province, Mrs. Champa Janaki Rajaratna, the Honorable Minister of Plantation and Community Infrastructure, Samantha Vidyaratna, the Honorable Minister of Fisheries, Ramaliñgam Chandrasekhar, the Honorable Deputy Minister of Plantation and Community Infrastructure, Sundaralingam Pradeep, the Honorable Deputy Minister of Tourism, Professor Ruwan Ranasinghe, the Honorable Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs, Dinidu Saman Hennayaka, Honorable Members of Parliament for Badulla District, the Mayors of Badulla and Bandarawela, Honorable Pradeshiya Sabha members, as well as government officials representing the Uva Provincial Council and a large gathering including the Malaiyagam community participated in this occasion
