ඌව පළාත තුළ ඩෙංගු රෝගය පැතිරීම පාලනය කිරීම සහ මර්දන කටයුතු තවදුරටත් ශක්තිමත් කිරීමේ අරමුණින් ඌව පළාත් ඩෙංගු මර්දන කමිටු රැස්වීම ඌව පළාත් ආණ්ඩුකාරවර නීතිඥ කපිල ජයසේකර මැතිතුමාගේ ප්රධානත්වයෙන් 2026 ජූලි මස 07 වැනිදා පැවැත්විණි.
මෙම රැස්වීමේදී පළාත තුළ දැනට පවතින ඩෙංගු තත්ත්වය, රෝගීන් වාර්තා වීමේ ප්රවණතාව, බදුල්ල සහ මොණරාගල දිස්ත්රික්කයන්හි හඳුනාගෙන ඇති අවදානම් කලාප, මෙන්ම ඩෙංගු මර්දනය සඳහා දැනට ක්රියාත්මක වැඩසටහන් පිළිබඳව සවිස්තරාත්මකව සාකච්ඡා කෙරිණි.
ඩෙංගු මර්දන වැඩසටහන් ක්රියාත්මක කිරීමේදී රාජ්ය ආයතන, සෞඛ්ය අංශ, පළාත් පාලන ආයතන සහ ආරක්ෂක අංශ අතර ඇති සම්බන්ධීකරණය තවදුරටත් ශක්තිමත් කිරීමේ අවශ්යතාව මෙහිදී විශේෂයෙන් අවධාරණය කෙරිණි. තවද, ක්ෂේත්ර මට්ටමේදී මුහුණ දෙන ප්රායෝගික ගැටලු සහ ඒවාට ලබාදිය හැකි විසඳුම් පිළිබඳවද අවධානය යොමු විය.
ඩෙංගු බෝවීමට ඉඩ ඇති ස්ථාන හඳුනා ගැනීම, ඒවා ඉවත් කිරීම, ජනතාව දැනුවත් කිරීම සහ නීතිමය ක්රියාමාර්ග ගැනීම යන කරුණු මර්දන වැඩසටහන්වල ප්රධාන අංග ලෙස හඳුනා ගන්නා ලදී.
මේ අනුව, මේ ජූලි මස 14 වැනිදා බදුල්ල, බණ්ඩාරවෙල සහ මොණරාගල නගර සභා සීමාවන් තුළ පුළුල් ඩෙංගු මර්දන වැඩසටහනක් ක්රියාත්මක කිරීමට නියමිතය. මෙම වැඩසටහන රාජ්ය නිලධාරීන් සහ හමුදා නිලධාරීන්ගේ සහ සහභාගීත්වයෙන් සිදු කෙරෙන අතර, ඩෙංගු මදුරුවන් බෝවිය හැකි ස්ථාන හඳුනාගෙන අවශ්ය පියවර ගැනීමත්, නීතිය ක්රියාත්මක කිරීමත් එහිදී සිදු කිරීමට සැලසුම් කර ඇත.
ඩෙංගු රෝගය මර්දනය කිරීම සඳහා ජනතාවගේ සක්රීය සහය අත්යවශ්ය බවත්, නිවාස, පාසල්, ආයතන, ව්යාපාරික ස්ථාන සහ පොදු ස්ථාන ආශ්රිතව ජලය රැඳෙන ස්ථාන ඉවත් කිරීම සඳහා සියලු පාර්ශව වගකීමෙන් කටයුතු කළ යුතු බවත් රැස්වීමේදී අවධාරණය කරන ලදී.
මෙම අවස්ථාවට බදුල්ල නගරාධිපති නන්දන හපුගොඩ මහතා, ඌව පළාත් ප්රධාන ලේකම්තුමිය, මොණරාගල දිස්ත්රික් ලේකම්තුමන්, බදුල්ල අතිරේක දිස්ත්රික් ලේකම්තුමිය, සෞඛ්ය අංශය නියෝජනය කරන නිලධාරීන් ඇතුළු රාජ්ය නිලධාරින් මෙන්ම, ආරක්ෂක අංශ ප්රධානීන් ඇතුළු නිලධාරීන් විශාල පිරිසක් සහභාගී වූහ.
The Uva Provincial Dengue Control Committee meeting was held on July 07, 2026, under the patronage of the Governor of Uva Province, Attorney-at-Law Kapila Jayasekara, with the objective of further strengthening dengue prevention and control activities in the Uva Province.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the current dengue situation in the province, trends in reported cases, identified high-risk zones in the Badulla and Monaragala districts, as well as ongoing programmes implemented for dengue control.
Special emphasis was placed on the need to further strengthen coordination among state institutions, health authorities, local government bodies and security forces in implementing dengue control programmes. Attention was also drawn to the practical challenges encountered at field level and possible solutions to address them.
Identifying dengue breeding sites, eliminating them, raising public awareness and taking legal action were recognized as key components of dengue control programmes.
Accordingly, a comprehensive dengue control programme is scheduled to be implemented on July 14 within the municipal council limits of Badulla, Bandarawela and Monaragala. This programme will be carried out with the participation of government officials and military personnel. It is planned to identify possible dengue mosquito breeding sites, take necessary action, and enforce the law where required.
It was emphasized at the meeting that the active cooperation of the public is essential to control dengue. All parties were urged to act responsibly in removing places where water can collect around homes, schools, institutions, business premises and public places.
The event was attended by Badulla Mayor Nandana Hapugoda, the Chief Secretary of Uva Province, the District Secretary of Monaragala, the Additional District Secretary of Badulla, officials representing the health sector, other government officials, heads of security forces and a large number of officers.
