ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ඇමරිකානු තානාපතිනි ජූලි චන්ග් මහත්මිය හා ඌව පළාත් ගරු ආණ්ඩුකාරවර නීතිඥ කපිල ජයසේකර මැතිතුමා අතර ද්වීපාර්ශ්වික හමුවක් 2025.09.18 වන දින ඌව පළාත් ගරු ආණ්ඩුකාරතුමාගේ නිල කාමරයේ දී පැවැත්විණි.
ශ්‍රී ලංකාව සහ එක්සත් ජනපදය අතර ද්වීපාර්ශ්වික සබඳතා ශක්තිමත් කර ගැනීමත්, ඌව පළාත තුළ එක්සත් ජනපදය විසින් ක්‍රියාත්මක කරනු ලබන සංවර්ධන වැඩසටහන්වල ප්‍රගතිය සහ සුබසාධන සේවාවන් හී ප්‍රගතිය සමාලෝචනය කිරීමත් මෙම හමුවීමේ ප්‍රධාන අරමුණ විය. අධ්‍යාපන, සංචාරක සහ කෘෂිකාර්මික යන ක්ෂේත්‍රයන් හී ඌව පළාත් අත්කර ගෙන ඇති ප්‍රගතිය සම්බන්ධව සිය සුභාශිංෂණ පළ කරන බව තානාපතිවරිය විසින් සඳහන් කරන ලදී.
මෙම අවස්ථාවට ඌව පළාතේ ප්‍රධාන ලේකම් අනුෂා ගෝකුළ ප්‍රනාන්දු මහත්මිය, ඌව පළාත් ආණ්ඩුකාරවර ලේකම්, ඌව පළාතේ අමාත්‍යාංශ ලේකම්වරුන් ඇතුළු පිරිසක් සහභාගී වුහ.
A bilateral meeting between US Ambassador to Sri Lanka Ms. Julie Chung and the Honorable Governor of Uva Province, Attorney Kapila Jayasekara, was held on September 18, 2025, at the official chamber of the Honorable Governor of Uva Province.
The main objectives of this meeting were to strengthen bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and the United States, and to review the progress of developm
ent programs implemented by the United States within the Uva Province as well as the progress in welfare services.
The Ambassador mentioned that she expressed her congratulations regarding the progress achieved by the Uva Province in the fields of education, tourism, and agriculture.
This occasion was attended by a group including Ms. Anusha Gokula Fernando, Chief Secretary of Uva Province, the Secretary to the Governor of Uva Province, and the Secretaries of various Ministries of Uva Province
