දිවයිනේ විශාලතම ලංකා සතොස වෙළෙඳ සංකීර්ණය “ලංකා සතොස exclusive” බදුල්ල නව මෙගා ශාඛාව ඌව පළාත් ගරු ආණ්ඩුකාරවර නිතීඥ ජේ.එම්. කපිල ජයසේකර මැතිතුමා, වෙළෙඳ, වාණිජ, ආහාර සුරක්ෂිතතා සහ සමුපකාර සංවර්ධන ගරු අමාත්‍ය වසන්ත සමරසිංහ මහතා සහ වැවිලි සහ ප්‍රජා යටිතල පහසුකම් පිළිබඳ ගරු අමාත්‍ය සමන්ත විද්‍යාරත්න මහතාගේ සහභාගිත්වයෙන් 205.09.29 දින විවෘත කරන ලදි.
වර්ග අඩි 14,000 ක වපසරියකින් යුත් මෙම ලංකා සතොස නව මෙගා ශාඛාව තුළ ආපන ශාලාව, බේකරි නිෂ්පාදන අලෙවි සැල, ධාන්‍ය අලෙවිසැල, කරවල අලෙවිසැල, මාංශ අලෙවිසැල, නැවුම් පළතුරු යුෂ අලෙවිසැල, නැවුම් එළවළු සහ පළතුරු අලෙවිසැල, අක්ෂි දෘෂ්ටි විශේෂඥ ස්ථානය (ඇස් පරීක්ෂා කිරීමේ ස්ථානය), ඔසු සැල, බැංකු ශාඛා, ඇඳුම් විලාසිතාගාරය සහ තවත් වෙළෙඳ සැල් ගණනාවකින් ද සමන්විත වේ.
එමෙන්ම සුළු හා මධ්‍ය පරිමාණ ව්‍යවසායකයින් සහ ගොවීන් වෙනුවෙන් ද මෙහි අලෙවි සැල් නිර්මාණය වී ඇති අතර රජයේ මූලික අරමුණක් වන පාරිභෝගික භාණ්ඩ වෙළෙඳ පොළ තුළ සුලභ කිරීම සහ අවම මිලක් යටතේ එම භාණ්ඩ පාරිභෝගික ජනතාවට ලබා දීම වෙනුවෙන් නවීන වෙළෙඳ පොළ තත්වයන් අනුව පාරිභෝගික ජනතාවට අවශ්‍ය සියලු පාරිභෝගික ද්‍රව්‍ය එකම වහලක් යටින් මිලදී ගැනීමට හැකිවන පරිදි මෙම ලංකා සතොස exclusive ශාඛාව ඉදි කර තිබේ.
එමෙන්ම මෙම ලංකා සතොස exclusive බදුල්ල මෙගා ශාඛාව විවෘත කිරීමට සමගාමීව, බදුල්ල ප්‍රදේශයේ බෝගහකුඹුර ලංකා සතොස සුපිරි වෙළෙඳ සැල විවෘත කිරීමේ කටයුත්ත ද සිදු විය. ඒ අනුව, බෝගහකුඹුර ප්‍රදේශයේ ජනතාවට ද, සුපිරි වෙළෙඳ සැලක අවශ්‍යතාවය ලංකා සතොස ආයතනය විසින් ඉටු කර දී ඇත.
මෙම විවෘත කිරීමේ අවස්ථාව වෙනුවෙන් සංචාරක නියොජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය මහාචාර්ය රුවන් රණසිංහ මහතා ඇතුලු පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී වරුන් පිරිසක් ද, බදුල්ල මහා නගර සභාවේ නගරාධිපති නන්දන හපුගොඩ මහතා ඇතුලු බදුල්ල නගර සභාවේ මන්ත්‍රීවරුන් සහ ලංකා සතොස සභාපති ආචාර්ය සමිත පෙරේරා මහතා, ලංකා සතොස ප්‍රධාන විධායක නිලධාරී ඩන්ස්ටන් මාලගේ මහතා ඇතුලු ලංකා සතොස ආයතනයේ නිලධාරීන් පිරිසක් මෙන්ම ජාතික සතොස සභාපති කෝසල විල්බාව මහතා, වෙළෙඳ, වාණිජ, ආහාර සුරක්ෂිතතා සහ සමුපකාර සංවර්ධන අමාත්‍යාංශයේ නිලධාරීන් පිරිසක් සහ ප්‍රදේශවාසී ජනතාවගේ සහභාගීත්වයෙන් සිදු විය.
The island’s largest Lak Sathosa commercial complex, ‘Lak Sathosa Exclusive,’ the new mega branch in Badulla, was opened on September 29, 2025, with the participation of His Excellency the Governor of Uva Province, Attorney-at-Law J.M. Kapila Jayasekara, the Hon. Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development Wasantha Samarasinghe, and the Hon. Minister of Plantation and Community Infrastructure Facilities Samantha Vidyarathne.
This new Lak Sathosa mega branch, spanning 14,000 square feet, includes a cafeteria, bakery products sales outlet, grain sales outlet, spice sales outlet, meat sales outlet, fresh fruit juice sales outlet, fresh vegetables and fruits sales outlet, optician’s location (eye examination center), pharmacy, bank branch, fashion boutique, and several other retail outlets.
Similarly, sales outlets have been designed for small and medium-scale entrepreneurs and farmers, and this Lak Sathosa Exclusive branch has been built in accordance with modern market conditions to enable consumers to purchase all necessary consumer goods under one roof, fulfilling the government’s primary objective of making consumer goods available in the market and providing those goods to consumers at minimum prices.
Concurrent with the opening of this Lak Sathosa Exclusive Badulla mega branch, the opening of the Lak Sathosa supermarket in Bogahakumbura, Badulla area, also took place. Accordingly, the Lak Sathosa institution has fulfilled the need for a supermarket for the people of the Bogahakumbura area as well.
This opening ceremony was attended by a group of Members of Parliament including Deputy Minister of Tourism Professor Ruwan Ranasinghe, Mayor of Badulla Municipal Council Nandana Hapugoda and members of the Badulla Municipal Council, Lak Sathosa Chairman Dr. Samitha Perera, Lak Sathosa Chief Executive Officer Dunstan Malage and a group of officers from the Lak Sathosa institution, as well as National Sathosa Chairman Kosala Wilbawa, a group of officers from the Ministry of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development, and with the participation of local residents
