හම්බන්තොට ඉන්දීය කොන්සල් ජනරාල් කාර්යාලය විසින්, 77 වන ඉන්දීය ජනරජ දින සැමරුමට සමගාමීව සැමරුම් උත්සවයක් 2026.01.06 වන දින සංවිධානය කර තිබුණි. හම්බන්තොට ඉන්දීය කොන්සල් ජනරාල් හර්වින්දර් සිං මහතාගේ උපදෙස් පරිදි එම කාර්යාලයේ නිලධාරින් විසින් සංවිධානය කරන ලද සැමරුම් උත්සවය සඳහා ඌව පළාත් ආණ්ඩුකාරවර නීතිඥ කපිල ජයසේකර මැතිතුමා, සබරගමුව පළාත් ගරු ආණ්ඩුකාරවර චම්පා ජානකී රාජරත්න මහත්මිය, පළාත් සභා හා පළාත් පාලන නියෝජ්ය අමාත්ය රුවන් සෙනරත් මහතා, කාන්තා හා ළමා කටයුතු නියෝජ්ය අමාත්ය සරෝජා පෝල්රාජ් මහත්මිය ඇතුළු සම්භාවනීය අමුත්තන් රැසක් එක්ව සිටියහ. එහිදී අදහස් පළ කළ ඌව පළාත් ආණ්ඩුකාරවර නීතිඥ කපිල ජයසේකර මැතිතුමා, ඉන්දියාව සහ ශ්රී ලංකාව අතර පවතින ද්වීපාර්ශ්වික සහයෝගීතාව පිළිබඳවත්, පසුගිය දිට්වා සුළි කුණාටුව හේතුවෙන් ඇති වූ ආපදාවෙන් විපතට පත් ජනතාව වෙනුවෙන් ඉන්දීය රජය සක්රීයව මැදිහත් වීම පිළිබඳවත් සිය ස්තූතිය පළ කරන ලදි.
The Indian Consulate General in Hambantota organized a celebratory event on January 6, 2026, in conjunction with the 77th Indian Republic Day celebrations. The celebratory event organized by the officers of the Consulate under the direction of Mr. Harvinder Singh, Consul General of India in Hambantota, was attended by a large number of distinguished guests including His Excellency the Governor of Uva Province, Attorney-at-Law Mr. Kapila Jayasekara; Her Excellency the Governor of Sabaragamuwa Province, Mrs. Champa Janaki Rajaratne; Deputy Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government Mr. Ruwan Senarath; and Deputy Minister of Women and Child Affairs Mrs. Saroja Paulraj. While expressing his views there, His Excellency the Governor of Uva Province, Attorney-at-Law Mr. Kapila Jayasekara, expressed his gratitude regarding the bilateral cooperation between India and Sri Lanka, and also regarding the active intervention of the Government of India on behalf of the people affected by the disaster caused by Cyclone Ditwha.
